Some very solid polo shirts over at Pretty Green at the moment. Contrasting paisley collars - giving Fred Perry a run for their money I think...
Here's a new thing I found. Nice design, collar is a bit different but it does fit with the Mod image somehow. Might see what they're like and head over to Brick Lane in the New Year. Nehru shirt (Mendoza, £110)
If you're into that kind of thing. And you have the funds.
Got to applaud the creativity though, nowhere else would you be able to get stuff like this. Also check out their awesome range of patterned trousers - superb variation on the usual dogtooth / POW styles. A daring choice from atomretro ... but I might try it just once.
Can't say it wouldn't look a bit odd... something about check on a roll-neck... A feast for the eyes.
I've always been surprised at how so many shoe shops can exist on the same street when they all pump pretty much the same stuff. Oxfords, brogues and loafers in the their thousands. Having said that, it is quite a sight to behold. If you've ever seen the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy film, do you remember the scene when Arthur Dent is taken through to the "factory floor" where they construct planets custom made? I think Jermyn Street is like my version of that. |
